August 27, 2025 - Zechariah 10-13

“On that day the Lord their God will save them, as the flock of his people” (9:16).  “On that day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and uncleanness” (13:1).  The story just never gets old, does it?  We repeat it, over and over again.  We sing it, over and over again.  We tell it, over and over again.  We swim in the deep waters of the fountain, over and over again.  Our hope is found, here, over and over again.  As it was for Israel, so for us.

Behold a fountain deep and wide,

Behold its onward flow;

’Twas opened in the Savior’s side,

And cleanseth white as snow,

And cleanseth white as snow!

Come to this fountain!

’Tis flowing today;

And all who will may freely come,

And wash their sins away.   –Fanny Crosby (1887)
