June 9, 2026 - Psalms 101-105
“For my days pass away like smoke, and my bones burn like a furnace. My heart is struck down like grass and has withered; I forget to eat my bread” (102:3-4). The psalmist tells of excruciating pain, seemingly physical and emotional. He is hurting so much that he cannot even eat. I don’t know about others but, when I begin reading Psalm 91, my heart leaps with joy. Of course, all of Scripture is given by God and encourages and directs us.
