August 28, 2026 - Zechariah 10-14

How about this for a prophetic word!  “On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea, in summer and winter alike.  On that day Yahweh will become king over all the earth—Yahweh alone, and His name alone” (14:8,9).  So many failures on the part of Israel!  So many travails endured!  So many enemies against her!  Yet, how do we put it, sometimes, as we think about our own failures and travails and as we look to the future and long for something better?  “We know how it ends!”  The Old Testament prophets certainly did!  On that day . . . what a day that will be!

There is coming a day

When no heartache shall come

No more clouds in the sky

No more tears to dim the eye

All is peace forever more

On that happy golden shore

What a day, glorious day that will be.

What a day that will be

When my Jesus I shall see

And I look upon His face

The One who saved my by His grace

When He takes me by the hand

And leads me through the Promised Land

What a day, glorious day that will be.   –Jim Hill (1955)
