December 21, 2025 - Revelation 19-22

Well, another year brings me to the end of the book of Revelation and the end of the Bible.  And what an ending!   A great multitude in heaven rejoicing before the Lord because of his great victory over the great prostitute and the avenging of the blood of the saints.  And the marriage supper of the Lamb.  The rider on the white horse and his victory over the beast.  And the binding and throwing down of Satan.  And the saints reigning with Christ.  And the great white throne judgment.  And the new heaven and earth, where Christ and his bride will dwell.  And the new Jerusalem.  And the river of life.

There, in that place, “He will wipe away every tear from their (ours!) eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away” (21:4).

“Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. . . .  The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’  And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price" (21:14,17).  That’s cause for rejoicing!

Soon and very soon we are goin’ to see the King,

Soon and very soon we are goin’ to see the King,

Soon and very soon we are goin’ to see the King,

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

we are goin’ to see the King!

No more cryin’ there we are goin’ to see the King,

No more cryin’ there we are goin’ to see the King,

No more cryin’ there we are goin’ to see the King,

Hallelujah, Hallelujah,

we are goin’ to see the King!   --Andrae Crouch (1976)
