October 25, 2021 – A hymn at the end of the book of Revelation

So, something a little bit different, here at the end of the book of Revelation. Tracing the story from Genesis to Revelation, there is one great theme: the Redeemer who is Jesus Christ. The words of Melody Green’s hymn (1977).

There is a redeemer

Jesus, God's own son

Precious lamb of God, Messiah

Holy one

Jesus my redeemer

Name above all names

Precious lamb of God, Messiah

Oh, for sinners slain.

When I stand in glory

I will see his face

And there I'll serve my king forever

In that holy place.

There is a redeemer

Jesus, God's own son

Precious lamb of God, Messiah

Holy one

Thank you oh my father

For giving us your son

And leaving your spirit

'Til the work on earth is done.
